SO WHY DO THEY DO IT?

I have consulted with 4 Rabbis in Jerusalem.

I have asked 3 Priests studying at The Vatican.

I have flown to Mecca to get an opinion from several Imams.

I have trafficked to Tibet to meet with Monks.

Not one of them can give me an answer.  They were all stumped.

So, having no choice, I had to ask a Supreme Being.  One with knowledge that cannot be questioned.  One with answers so reliable that they are simply unquestionable.

I asked Chat GPT --- why would one be so crazy as to serve on a condominium or HOA Board of Directors?

In response, The Almighty One said:

"Serving on an HOA board is like taking a second job — with no pay, no benefits, and guaranteed complaints."

This encapsulates the core frustrations people often face:

• Constant criticism from neighbors (even when you're volunteering)

• Having to enforce unpopular rules

• Spending time on conflict resolution

• Legal and financial responsibilities without real compensation

And these are the benefits of serving!  Can you imagine the downside?

Actually, I don’t want to read why one would be crazy enough to serve on the Board of their community.  I want to hear it directly from those that are currently serving or have served.  The first few that respond, and agree, will be guests on The Condo Craze and HOAs show.  That’s right, you will be on camera, under the lights!

People who: Gets stage fright, are Camera-shy, who  Freeze in the spotlight,  Wilt under pressure, like to Avoid the limelight, choke when the mic’s on, are Hesitant to speak up, Break into a cold sweat on stage, whose Voice trembles when speaking, or who clam up in front of an audience – NEED NOT APPLY.
